SHORT FILM

REMEMBERING ROSIE

  • In this heartfelt short film, a girl grows up under the quiet care of her widowed father, a man bound by traditional Asian values, who struggles to openly express his love. Unable to find the words to comfort her directly despite his optimistic demeanor, he instead honors her birthdays with letters, roses, and chocolates—a tradition once lovingly maintained by her late mother. As he faces late stages of Alzheimer’s, he comes to realize that soon he won’t remember her or be able to write to her. Determined to ensure she’ll never feel forgotten, he arranges with the local florist to deliver his letters. Crafted with an everlasting message of love that transcends time and memory and leaving a piece of himself with her even as his memory fades.

    Beneath the Mountain

  • This was my first official short film, and it’s been a labor of love where I took on everything—from directing, sound, lighting, editing, and all the above. This project taught me so much about the behind-the-scenes logistics of filmmaking. I hope you enjoy it, and I’ll keep striving to improve and create meaningful stories—the very reason I fell in love with film 15 years ago.
